WindCodex Extensions · Last updated 26 October 2026

This policy covers the WindCodex browser extensions listed on this site, starting with Page2Prompt, and this website. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What our extensions read

Page2Prompt reads the content of a web page only when you ask it to: by clicking its icon, using its right-click menu or pressing its keyboard shortcut. In Tabs mode it reads only the tabs you select. This processing happens locally in your browser.

Where your content goes

The prompt is copied to your clipboard and pasted into the AI website you choose (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity). It goes directly from your browser to that site; we never receive or store your page content or prompts. Those sites handle your data under their own privacy policies.

Data stored in your browser

Settings, custom templates and prompt history are stored only in your browser (Chrome local storage). They are deleted when you remove the extension.

License checks

If you buy Pro and enter a license key, the extension stores that key in your browser and sends it, together with a random install ID, to windcodex.com to confirm the license is active. The install ID only counts how many browsers use your key and contains no personal information. These checks happen about every few hours.

Purchases

Pro is bought on windcodex.com, not inside the extension. Your order details (name, email, billing address) are handled by our WooCommerce store, and card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. The extension itself never receives your name, email or payment information.

This website

extensions.windcodex.com is a static website. It does not use cookies or analytics of its own. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, show ads, track your browsing, or use your data for anything other than running our extensions.

Your choices and deletion

Remove an extension to delete everything it stored in your browser. To close your windcodex.com account, cancel any subscription in My Account → Subscriptions, then email [email protected] from your account email.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, mention it in the extension's update notes.
